The Doctors Professional Building is strategically located across the street from the United and Children's Hospitals in St. Paul. The building is connected to the hospitals via a tunnel that runs under Smith Avenue. An attached parking ramp with access to multiple floors makes access in and out of the building very convenient. The eight-story, 84,000-sq.-ft., Class A building was purchased by United Properties in November 2005 and underwent a $3.7 million renovation. Some features of the renovation include new elevators, redesigned public spaces and a two-story glass atrium at the entrance that allows more comfortable waiting space and vehicle transfers for patients.
