United Properties Healthcare Real Estate Group Represents Gillette in South Metro Expansion
MINNEAPOLIS (March 31, 2004) — United Properties Healthcare Real Estate Group represented Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare in an extensive real estate search that has resulted in the healthcare provider signing a 15-year lease for a new clinic in Burnsville. Scheduled to open this summer, the 12,500-square-foot clinic and therapy center will be located on the Fairview Ridges Hospital campus. Stephen Brown
The facility is Gillette’s first location in the southern Twin Cities metro area. United Properties worked with Gillette for several months to evaluate market conditions and ensure the expansion would meet its needs and the needs of its patients. “Gillette knew that many patients were coming from south of the Minnesota River for care at the St. Paul hospital, and that an expansion location needed to be convenient for those patients and their families,” said Stephen Brown, vice president, United Properties Healthcare Real Estate Group, who represented Gillette in the search. “This location will be very convenient for Gillette’s south-of-the-river patients.”
The new clinic will be located in the Ridgeview Medical Building at 305 East Nicollet Boulevard. It will be Gillette’s largest facility outside of its main St. Paul campus. The facility will also be Gillette’s first off-site therapy center designed to provide specialized occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech language pathology services for children with cerebral palsy.
“We’ve experienced tremendous growth over the past five years and are operating at capacity in our St. Paul and Minnetonka clinics,” said Kathryn Wardrop, vice president of marketing at Gillette. “This strategic expansion will allow us to better serve our growing patient population in the south metro.”
