Palmer Named Fellow of the Construction Management Association of America
United Properties executive one of only five construction managers in the country to receive the designation
MINNEAPOLIS (Nov. 17, 2004) — Bruce Palmer, senior vice president, construction services, United Properties, was recently named a Fellow of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA). Nationwide, Palmer is one of only five professional construction managers to receive the designation –– which is one of CMAA’s highest honors –– given to industry leaders who have made significant contributions to their organizations, the industry and their professions.
There are currently only 29 Fellows nationwide. Palmer and the other new Fellows were inducted into the College of Fellows at CMAA’s industry recognition dinner on September 14 in San Antonio, Texas.
The goals of the CMAA College of Fellows are to represent a diverse community of leaders who share their knowledge and insight into the strategic issues facing the industry and profession, and to identify and develop future association leaders.
Palmer is a veteran of the CMAA board and has served as chair of the Professional Development Committee for the organization. In this position he has helped increase the continuing education opportunities available in the profession and has promoted ongoing improvement in professional practices nationwide.
