United Properties’ Paul Hawkins Receives
‘President’s Award of Excellence’
Annual Award is Highest Individual Recognition within United Properties
MINNEAPOLIS (March 10, 2008) – United Properties recently awarded the President’s Award of Excellence, the highest honor for an individual at United Properties, to senior vice president and chief financial officer Paul Hawkins. Nominated for his outstanding performance during 2007, the award recognizes achievement in innovation, client service and commitment to professional development.

Hawkins joined United Properties in 1999 as a vice president and corporate controller. He assumed the role of CFO in 2000, consolidating all of the company’s financial functions under his leadership. The following year, he took on the additional responsibility of overseeing four internal service groups: accounting, human resources, IT and office services.

In 2007, Hawkins made a significant contribution to United Properties’ growth through his work on several company growth initiatives, including the acquisition of Ojala and Company, a Denver-based commercial office and industrial park developer, the integration of NorthMarq Advisors, a Philadelphia-based affiliate of NorthMarq Capital, and the creation of the new NorthMarq Investment Sales business.
