Ken Seifert Joins United Properties as Vice President, Property Management Division
MINNEAPOLIS (March 20, 2008) – United Properties, which will reorganize its real estate services divisions under the NorthMarq name in May, today announced the addition of Ken Seifert as vice president – retail property management. Seifert, who has more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience, will provide leadership to the company’s retail property owner teams, assist in new business pursuits and help lead division growth initiatives.

With his diverse experience, he can contribute to our growth strategy in a variety of ways,” said Jeff Eaton, president, NorthMarq Real Estate Services. “He adds leadership depth to our retail group and is familiar with a number of markets across the country.”
Seifert most recently served as senior vice president in the asset management division of Capital Growth Madison Marquette (formerly Madison Marquette Realty Services), where, during his career, he oversaw a real estate portfolio of 26 million square feet in California, Washington, Florida, Texas, Iowa, Minnesota, Michigan, Colorado, Ohio, Tennessee and Missouri. While at the company, he also spent eight years as vice president of financial planning and operations. Previously, he was with Angeles Corporation and the Center Companies.
Seifert is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA). He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Southwest State University and his master's of business administration in finance from the University of St. Thomas and has passed the CPA exam.
Another new hire by United Properties is Wendy Aaserud. She joined the company recently as a senior property manager, where she will focus on the management of retail properties in the United Properties investment portfolio, including Delano Crossings, Lyndale Green and Argonne Village.
“Wendy brings to our team an extensive background in retail property management,” said Lisa Dongoske, senior vice president, property management. “She is experienced at executing strategy for retail assets, and we will rely on her for many of our higher profile retail projects.”
Aaserud most recently served as a senior property manager at Capital Growth Madison Marquette, where she was managed more than 1.3 million square feet of retail property. Previously, she was at Z & S Management and B.T. & A. Construction Co. She is an active member of the Minnesota Shopping Center (MSCA), the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA).
