Current Responsibilities
As Director of Finance, Joe leads financial modeling and analysis to support United Properties’ equity and debt structuring efforts for new developments, acquisitions, and recapitalizations. He oversees the preparation of offering materials, coordinates due diligence and closings, and ensures compliance with investor and lender reporting requirements.
Working across all markets and product types, Joe also supports deal performance reviews, disposition analysis, and the development of financial tools and processes that enhance the company’s analytical capabilities.
Past Experience
Joe joined the Pohlad family of companies in 2015 as an Investment Analyst with Northmarq’s debt and equity production team. In this role, he was responsible for underwriting, preparing offering memoranda, and facilitating due diligence and closings for a wide range of transactions across asset classes and capital structures. He also served on Northmarq’s Analyst Council. Since joining United Properties in 2022, Joe has focused primarily on underwriting commercial development opportunities and building financial models to support strategic planning for the company’s stabilized portfolio.
Professional and Community Involvement
Joe is an active member of the MN NAIOP Developing Leaders Forum and has volunteered as a financial and cash flow modeling instructor for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) REDI program. His community involvement includes work with Habitat for Humanity, Feed My Starving Children, and Second Harvest Heartland.
Education
Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Marquette University.
