Current Responsibilities

Chris works closely with the development team to evaluate potential deals, focusing on construction cost estimates, utility availability and other constraints. He also manages all consultants and maintains live budget throughout construction, identifying all potential cost exposures to accurately forecast contingency usage. Chris facilitates coordination amongst the design team and general contractors to minimize scope gap and conflicts as we approach full construction documents.

Past Experience

Chris joined United Properties in 2021. Prior to that, he served as Project Director at Kushner Companies in New York City where he led all phases of company’s ground-up multi-family residential, hospitality, office and retail projects from inception through completion. Projects include Wave Resort, a 67-key oceanfront boutique hotel in Long Branch, NJ and One Journal Square, a pair of 60-story towers with 1,700 apartment units and 40,000 SF of retail in Jersey City, NJ.

He also worked as a Project Manager at Turner Construction Co where he managed construction of over $2 Billion of new medical facilities and commercial high-rise developments. Projects include the David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care and 7 Bryant Park, the 2016 ENR New York Project of the Year. Chris served as a Structural Engineer at McLaren Engineering Group focusing on design of waterfront structures. Projects include the World Financial Center ferry terminal and the Northside Piers redevelopment in Brooklyn.

Professional and Community Involvement

Chris has served as a mentor in the ACE Mentor Program of America which trains high school students interested in pursuing careers in architecture, engineering and construction.

Education

Chris earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer.

Current Responsibilities

As senior development manager, Mona is responsible for supporting the overall commercial real estate development process as well as leading, managing, and advising many tasks associated with pre-development, due diligence, entitlement work, internal approvals and coordination, design, and construction in partnership with construction management.

Past Experience

With more than two decades of expertise in project management, construction, and real estate development, Mona joined United Properties in 2017. Her previous role as a retail construction project manager for Confluent Development saw her managing the construction of several retail stores including Starbucks, 7-Eleven, and Mod Pizza. Mona has a thorough knowledge of the petroleum/convenience store industry, with experience in both environmental and construction management at RaceTrac Petroleum and Speedway SuperAmerica. Additionally, she managed an environmental cleanup program with the United States Army, which involved capping several landfills and completing extensive environmental cleanup projects.

Mona is an active member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Education

Mona received her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Southern Illinois University.

Current Responsibilities

As Vice President of Industrial Development at United Properties, Connor is responsible for the company’s industrial development and acquisition activities in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota market. In his role, he leads the project teams through land acquisition, due diligence, municipal entitlement, design, construction, stabilization, and disposition.

Past Experience

Connor joined United Properties in 2015. For his first two years at the company, Connor worked as an Investment Analyst in which he performed underwriting and financial modeling for office, industrial, retail, and hotel development projects. He began leading industrial development projects in 2018. Since that time, Connor has developed approximately 2,500,000 square feet of industrial space throughout the Twin Cities.

Professional and Community Involvement

Connor spent time as a board member of the NAIOP Minnesota Chapter and served as the Chair of the NAIOP Developing Leaders in 2020. In recent years, he has served as a volunteer instructor for Urban Land Institute (ULI) facilitating several real estate development and financial analysis courses. In 2021, Connor was the recipient of the Minnesota Real Estate Journal’s Emerging Leader of the Year award.

Education

Connor earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate at the University of St. Thomas.

Current Responsibilities

Tom is responsible for executing existing projects and sourcing new development opportunities. He directly manages the development process from investment feasibility, land planning and entitlement, architectural design, financing, and lease-up through overseeing construction with key project stakeholders. As Senior Development Manager, Tom collaborates with consultants, contractors, and partners on every project to result in optimal outcomes for end-users and investors while concurrently making decisions to ensure risks are mitigated.

Past Experience

Tom joined United Properties in 2017, with an initial focus on supporting industrial and office development teams. Since then, he has led several complex, multi-phased mixed-use projects, including the 50-acre, $350 million redevelopment of the Upper Harbor Terminal in Minneapolis. Prior to joining United Properties, Tom served as a tenant representative advisor at Cresa Minneapolis, leading small to large-scale projects from site selection through project occupancy. Additionally, he spent time as a land developer at Homestead Partners. He began his career as an architect at BWBR working on large healthcare and correctional facilities.

Tom is an active member of NAIOP and Urban Land Institute (ULI). He serves as Co-Chair for the ULI NEXT cohort and member of the ULI MN Management Committee.

Education

Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of St. Thomas.

Current Responsibilities

As a Sr. Development Manager, Carrie is responsible for facilitating development projects from due diligence in acquisition to project completion and closeout with an emphasis on managing the design, budgeting, and construction process. She also supports the appropriate developers’ new business production of ground-up development and value-added acquisition activities.

Past Experience

Carrie joined United Properties in 2017 after working as a Business/Solutions Development Manager at CBRE where she drove client relationships and business development opportunities within JCI manufacturing plants across the America’s portfolio. With over 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, she worked as a Senior Managing Director and Account Manager for Savills Studley Occupier Services where she primarily handled real estate consulting and account management services. She also worked as a Real Estate Manager at Opus South Corporation and as a Global Workplace Solutions Account Manager and Development Director at Johnson Controls where she managed real estate, project and facility management services for select corporate accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction and high-quality standards.

Professional and Community Involvement

Carrie is a member of NAIOP, and served as the Immediate Past President of MNCREW (Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women). She currently serves on the Board for Sand Lake Watershed Management District.

Education

Carrie received a B.S. in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an M.B.A. in Finance at Montclair State University. She is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker for the state of Minnesota.

Current Responsibilities

As senior vice president and national director for retail development, Jamie oversees the company’s retail development and investment initiatives, and leads the retail development team to identify, develop and manage retail real estate projects from inception through completion, stabilization or sale. He is also responsible for all facets of Denver office operations, leading and implementing corporate initiatives.

Past Experience

Prior to joining United Properties in 2007, Jamie spent five years at Buell & Company in Denver where he was involved in the leasing, property management, accounting and development activities of their portfolio.

Professional and Community Involvement

Jamie is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) where he attends both local and national conferences and he recently completed a term on the planning committee for the Rocky Mountain Idea Exchange.

Education

Jamie graduated from Washington College in Chestertown, Md., with a Bachelor of Arts degree. While at Washington, Jamie played lacrosse and won a Division III National Championship.

Current Responsibilities

After joining United Properties in 2019 as vice president of hospitality and residential development, Scott quickly made a noticeable impact on the company’s RBC Gateway project and other hotel pursuits. He was then named as vice president of hospitality and office development, where he is now responsible for site acquisition, project underwriting, design, development and construction for both Minneapolis and Denver markets.

Past Experience

Scott started his career at a Fortune 150 company working in a variety of positions, including finance and development. In these roles, he delivered several thousand residential lots in both large master planned developments and infill projects. After gaining a solid understanding of horizontal land development, Scott pursued vertical construction in Kauia, Hawaii, where he helped deliver an $80 million private luxury resort. He went on to manage two general contracting companies in the Lake Tahoe, California region where he was responsible for overall performance of portfolio in excess of $10 million. With more than 13 years of experience in the residential and hotel markets and partnering with major hospitality brands, Scott recently served 5 years with CSM Corporation in Minneapolis as the senior director of development and construction. In this role, he executed more than $200 million of lodging projects. His extensive understanding of the development cycle — from acquisition and entitlements to end construction — plays a key role in strong development opportunities and financial models.

Professional and Community Involvement

Scott has been a panelist at Hotel News Now and National Development Roundtable conferences and a speaker at industry events such as the Hotel Data Conference (2015 and 2016) and several local hotel symposia. In the past, he was an active volunteer at Twin Cities area Ronald McDonald Houses and has been featured in local media for helping spearhead hands-on and innovative community service projects for his team. Scott also dedicates his time to mentorships at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business and several other community organizations. And finally, Scott and his family are active members at the Minnesota Children’s Museum.

Education

Scott received his bachelor’s degree in business management and minor in entrepreneurship and small business from Montana State University-Bozeman. He also received his executive MBA of business/managerial economics from the University of Arizona, Eller College of Management.

Current Responsibilities

As vice president of construction management, Bill Jundt oversees all construction services for the development team and assists with tenant improvement projects for the company portfolio.

Past Experience

Bill has over 37 years of experience in commercial construction working on a vast scale of projects including RBC Gateway, The Nordic, Prime Therapeutics at Boulder Lakes, Norwest Tower, Timberwolves Arena, The Grand Hotel, Best Buy and JC Penney stores nationwide and numerous medical facilities as well as radio broadcast facilities.

Professional and Community Involvement

Bill leads a team of United Properties employees twice a year for a volunteer day with Habitat For Humanity. He has served on the ULI Minnesota Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDi) Committee and is a former member of the Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and former Vice President of Minnesota Construction Association. He is also a former member of the Minnesota Medical Group Managers Association.

Education

Bill studied nursing at Mankato State University. He also holds a graduate degree in architectural drafting and estimating from Dunwoody College in Minneapolis. Bill holds a LEED Legacy certification
