Current Responsibilities

Janelle MacLean leads the advancement of United Properties’ Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies. She partners with business leaders to identify, measure, and strengthen ESG practices across the organization, while also addressing key risks and opportunities. Janelle works closely with executive and functional teams to shape and implement the company’s comprehensive ESG approach.

She chairs United Properties’ ESG Advisory Group and UNITED Together, while also overseeing six ESG-focused working groups.

Past Experience

Janelle joined United Properties in 2018 as a Senior Investment Analyst, bringing more than a decade of commercial real estate experience. In that role, she conducted detailed investment analyses and collaborated with asset management teams across both Operating and Development portfolios.

Earlier in her career, she served as an Asset Manager at CSM and Welltower, where she oversaw a $750 million medical office portfolio and directed strategic decisions in Joint Venture partnerships. She also has significant experience in property management and operations.

Professional and Community Involvement

Janelle is a strong advocate for expanding opportunities and representation in commercial real estate. She contributes her expertise through leadership roles with the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Minnesota Real Estate REDI Program (Steering Committee Chair), the Commercial Real Estate Collaborative Professionals’ Team (Co-Chair), and the Peace in Practice Development Committee. She also serves on the Board of ROHO Collective and is a member of the Real Estate Racial Justice Group.

In addition, she is a Market Leadership Advisory Board Member for the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Minnesota, participates in the ULI Greenprint Community, serves on the ULI Minnesota Management Committee, and is an active member of ULI.

Education

Janelle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of St. Thomas. She also earned the Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation from the Building Owners and Managers Institute.

Current Responsibilities

As Development Director, Erin leads the strategy and execution of real estate development projects. Erin oversees site acquisition, financial underwriting, entitlements, design coordination, leasing, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality, financially successful assets.

Past Experience

Erin joined United Properties in 2022 with nearly 10 years of commercial real estate experience. Previously with Sagard Real Estate (formerly EverWest), Erin oversaw projects across the country, including a 900k sq. ft. industrial project in Denver, CO, 242k sq . ft. office entitlement in Burlingame, CA and 331k sq. ft. industrial project in Staten Island, NY. She also spent time at Wixen Real Estate, overseeing tech tenant portfolios, including Facebook and Hitachi Americas Ltd, transacting over 1m sq. ft. in 4 countries and 20 different markets during her tenure. Erin began her career at Cushman & Wakefield in Los Angeles, CA, on a landlord brokerage team that transacted an average of $200m in annual deal value.

Professional and Community Involvement

Erin is involved in NAIOP, where she is a part of the Programs Committee and Community Responsibility & Engagement Committee, spearheading the NAIOP Project Destined program. Additionally, she is a University of Colorado Real Estate Alumni Association board member and actively involved in the University of Denver Real Estate Alumni Program.

Education

Erin earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Colorado – Boulder.

Current Responsibilities

Alan oversees senior living and residential development projects from initial pursuit and underwriting through construction, lease-up, and stabilization. He leads and coordinates all phases of the development process, including due diligence, entitlements, design, construction, and operator coordination, while working closely with internal development, finance, legal, and asset management teams. Alan manages external architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and third-party operators to ensure projects are delivered in alignment with financial objectives, schedules, and quality standards, while proactively mitigating risk and supporting long-term project success.

Past Experience

Alan brings more than 20 years of project management experience and specializes in new construction of high-rises, medical facilities, office, retail, and multi-family residential properties.

Alan has completed over $1 Billion of ground-up construction during his career. Prior to joining United Properties, Alan held various roles in operations for Western Development Group (Phil Anschutz), Clark Construction Group and Saunders Construction in markets including Washington D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Denver among others.

Professional and Community Involvement

Alan is an active member of NAIOP and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).  He also serves as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Mile High United Way.

Education

Alan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management with a concentration in Engineering from Colorado State University.

Current Responsibilities


Nicole is responsible for supporting the overall commercial real estate development process and leading and managing many tasks associated with pre-development, due diligence, entitlement work, internal approvals, coordination, design and construction.

Past Experience


Prior to joining United Properties in 2020, Nicole spent two years as an analyst at Jones Lang LaSalle, where she assisted in the closing of $860 million of investment advisory transactions in Austin and San Antonio. Nicole also completed internships at The Opus Group and Colliers International.

Professional and Community Involvement

Nicole is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and the NAIOP Developing Leaders Forum.

Education


Nicole graduated from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business where she received her Bachelor of Science degrees in finance and real estate.
