Current Responsibilities

As Vice President of Development, Naomi is responsible for leading and executing multiple development projects including securing new opportunities, land acquisitions, underwriting, entitlements, land planning, architectural and design decisions, financing, marketing strategy, lease-up and all other aspects of development. Naomi has been instrumental in the creation of our Amira brand and played an integral role in the successful execution and delivery of our Active Adult communities.

Past Experience

Prior to joining United Properties, Naomi served as a Real Estate Manager at Christopher & Banks for over 15 years where she specialized on establishing comprehensive scope and direction for real estate portfolio including the strategy, expansion and lease renewal process to meet strategic objectives and long-term goals.

Education

Naomi holds both a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bemidji University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Hamilton University.

Current Responsibilities

As Vice President of Senior Living Development, Dave is responsible for all facets of the senior living development cycle, including site acquisition, project underwriting, design, supporting capital and debt placement, development, and construction execution.

Past Experience

Dave has been a part of United Properties since 2015, when he joined as Development Manager. During his tenure, he has successfully overseen several senior housing development projects, and was subsequently promoted to his current role. Dave’s expertise in both horizontal development and vertical construction has been a major factor in the success of the team. Before joining United Properties, Dave spent over a decade in the general contracting business, managing vertical construction projects in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Florida.

Dave is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). With a passion for creating lasting communities that our customers can call home, Dave is enthusiastic about the future of senior living and values the relationships that are formed throughout the journey.

Education

Dave earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.

Current Responsibilities

As Vice President of Brand & Communications, Molly is responsible for overseeing the development, supervision and maintenance of the company’s brands. She works closely with other members of the organization to ensure the vision, brand strategies and execution of corporate, commercial development and senior living brands are implemented effectively.

Past Experience

Molly joined United Properties in 2019, bringing more than two decades of experience in real estate, management, and sales & marketing. Before joining United Properties, Molly worked as a sales manager and real estate broker for Home Services of America-Edina Realty, leading and mentoring over 80+ realtors in the Minneapolis market.

Professional and Community Involvement

Molly holds an At Home with Diversity (AHWD) designation from the Minnesota Association of Realtors and has completed multiple Ninja Leadership mastery courses. In addition to being a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Minnesota, she is also a dedicated volunteer, devoting her time to the Golden Valley Humane Society and her daughter’s magnet arts school, where she assists students in art-based courses.

Education

Molly earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Marketing from St. Cloud State University.

Current Responsibilities

As Senior Vice President of Commercial Development at United Properties, Connor oversees commercial development activity in the Minnesota and Colorado markets. He guides projects from strategic site selection through entitlement, execution, stabilization, and sale.

Past Experience

Connor joined United Properties in 2015. For his first two years at the company, Connor worked as an Investment Analyst in which he performed underwriting and financial modeling for office, industrial, retail, and hotel development projects. He began leading industrial development projects in 2018. Since that time, Connor has developed approximately 2,500,000 square feet of industrial space throughout the Twin Cities.

Professional and Community Involvement

Connor spent time as a board member of the NAIOP Minnesota Chapter and served as the Chair of the NAIOP Developing Leaders in 2020. In recent years, he has served as a volunteer instructor for Urban Land Institute (ULI) facilitating several real estate development and financial analysis courses. In 2021, Connor was the recipient of the Minnesota Real Estate Journal’s Emerging Leader of the Year award.

Education

Connor earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate at the University of St. Thomas.

Current Responsibilities

As a Sr. Development Manager, Carrie is responsible for facilitating development projects from due diligence in acquisition to project completion and closeout with an emphasis on managing the design, budgeting, and construction process. She also supports the appropriate developers’ new business production of ground-up development and value-added acquisition activities. 

Past Experience

Carrie joined United Properties in 2017 after working as a Business/Solutions Development Manager at CBRE where she drove client relationships and business development opportunities within JCI manufacturing plants across the America’s portfolio. With 20 years of experience in the real estate industry, she worked as a Senior Managing Director and Account Manager for Savills Studley Occupier Services where she primarily handled real estate consulting and account management services. She also worked as a Real Estate Manager at Opus South Corporation and as a Global Workplace Solutions Account Manager and Development Director at Johnson Controls where she managed real estate, project and facility management services for select corporate accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction and high-quality standards.

Professional and Community Involvement

Carrie is a member of NAIOP and has served as both Director and President on the Board of MNCREW (Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women). She currently serves as Chair of the Board for Sand Lake Management District. 

Education

Carrie received a B.S. in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an M.B.A. in Finance at Montclair State University. She is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker for the state of Minnesota.

Current Responsibilities

As vice president of asset management, Chris is responsible for setting and executing the strategic work plan for a portfolio of properties. He is responsible for the asset management for more than 20 properties. Chris also participates on the acquisition, disposition and financing teams.

Past Experience

Chris has worked within The Pohlad Companies since 2003. He began his career as a loan officer with Builders Mortgage Company, which later became Meridian Construction Capital Group. In 2011, Chris worked as a property manager with Meridian Land Company. In 2015, he joined United Properties as a senior investment analyst before being promoted to his current role.

Education

Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in financial economics from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Current Responsibilities


As executive vice president, Richard leads all United Properties’ financing and lender relationships. In addition, he is responsible for managing the company’s joint venture with State Farm in ownership of Centennial Lakes Office Park. Richard is a member of the company’s capital markets team which is responsible for raising equity and arranging debt for joint venture developments and acquisitions.

Past Experience

Prior to joining United Properties, Richard held financing positions at Allstate Life Insurance Company in its commercial mortgage lending group and in finance and acquisitions at The Balcor Company and The Griffin Companies. He began his career as a staff accountant in the tax department of Arthur Andersen & Company.

Professional and Community Involvement

Richard has sat on the corporate board of directors of NAIOP as a local liaison to the national organization, impacting its overall strategies and initiatives. He has also served on a NAIOP national capital markets forum, as well as the board of directors for the Minnesota Chapter, and a 2-year term as NAIOP Minnesota chapter treasurer.

Education

Richard received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington University and his master’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and obtained his Certified Public Accounting (CPA) license in November of 1980.

Current Responsibilities

As Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Laura provides strategic advice to management and transactional support and guidance to the Company. She also manages the company’s insurance portfolio and claims, as well as the organization’s dispute resolution needs.

Laura is also a member of United Properties’ Strategic Leadership Team which establishes the company’s overall strategic plan and oversees the organization’s broader operational initiatives.

Past Experience

Laura joined United Properties in 2019 as United Properties’ first in-house legal counsel and has since established a strong legal team and implemented strategies to effectively manage risk. Before joining United Properties, Laura served as Senior Counsel at Empire State Development where she worked on complex multi-party real estate development projects in the New York Metro Area, including the $1 billion redevelopment of Belmont Park into a 435,000 square foot retail complex and hotel. She has also worked for the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation and Empire State Development.

Education

Laura received her Bachelor of Arts and her Juris Doctor degrees from Indiana University Bloomington.

Current Responsibilities

In this role, Ann is responsible for overseeing and integrating core operational and people functions. She ensures operational efficiency, business continuity and a high-performance work environment aligned with company goals. Ann leads a cross-functional team of professionals including HR, administrative support and office services. She also serves as a liaison between United Properties and our external partners in Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, and Marketing Communications, providing communication and direction on corporate matters. Ann chairs our Charitable Giving team, leading our corporate giving efforts aligning with our business goals and employee engagement priorities.

Past Experience

At the start of her career, Ann worked in Property Accounting at United Properties, where she supervised a team of accountants responsible for the financial reporting of over 50 buildings. In 2007, she moved to the development side of the business and spearheaded the office relocation to RBC Gateway in 2022. Before joining United Properties, Ann served as an assistant controller at the University of Minnesota Foundation.

Professional and Community Involvement

Ann has been a parent volunteer for the Bloomington Public Schools, serving as the founding president of the Jefferson Athletic Foundation, an all-sport booster club at Jefferson High School. Additionally, she is a pianist at her church and has been a volunteer for the Bloomington Athletic Association.

Education

Ann received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Northwestern College in Iowa.

Current Responsibilities

As Vice President of Technology, Kevin spearheads the Technology vision, bridging the gap between corporate technology and property technology for United Properties. Deeply versed in the intricacies of the company’s business dynamics, Kevin collaborates closely with executive leadership. His aim is to accentuate the company’s competitive edge by optimizing operational efficiencies while leveraging PropTech solutions to foster cybersecurity and modernize real estate processes.

Past Experience

Kevin joined United Properties in 2015, having worked in a variety of IT roles both within and outside of commercial real estate. Prior to this, he demonstrated exceptional leadership as a Manager at NorthMarq Capital, a close affiliate of United Properties, and also in commercial real estate.

Education

Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota in 2007 and also holds a variety of IT licenses and certifications, including CAPM, CRISC, and ITIL Foundation.

Professional and Community Involvement

Kevin is a member of the Real Estate Cyber Consortium, participates with MRI User Group, and also is a licensed real estate agent in the state of Minnesota.
