New vision for a historic site.

Known as the “Gateway to Minneapolis,” the site at Third St. and Nicollet Ave. once featured a grand hotel and a park extending to the Mississippi River. But over 25 years ago, the hotel was torn down and the park replaced by a parking lot.

We envision a better future for this historic site.

Working with the City of Minneapolis and our project partners, we are planning a 33-story tower with a 5-star hotel, corporate office space, a public plaza, and retail on the street level. RBC Wealth Management-U.S. has selected the Gateway for its new U.S. headquarters. The company will move to the new location once the building is completed in 2021.

“The Gateway will be a stunning addition to Minneapolis – and one that we believe would be warmly embraced by the community.”–Bill Katter, President and Chief Investment Officer
