Ann Riemersma

Current Responsibilities
As vice president, Ann manages the team of administrative professionals and corporate operations. Additional responsibilities include annual budgeting, document management and special projects for the Executive Team.  As a liaison to our partners in human resources, information technology, legal and marketing-communications, Ann provides communication and direction to the Executive Team on corporate matters. She is leading United Properties in our move to the RBC Gateway building coordinating the design, operations and move logistics for the company.    Ann also chairs the community giving team, leading our corporate giving efforts around affordable housing and sustainability.

Past Experience
Ann spent the first several years of her career at United Properties in Property Accounting where she supervised a team of property accountants. Her team was responsible for the financial reporting of more than 50 buildings. Ann also worked on several accounting initiatives moving to the development side of the business in 2007. Prior to joining United Properties, Ann was assistant controller with the University of Minnesota Foundation.

Professional and community involvement
Ann has been an active parent volunteer within the Bloomington Public Schools and is the founding president of the Jefferson Athletic Group (JAG), an all-sport booster club at Jefferson High School.  She is also a pianist at her church and a past volunteer with Gilda’s Club-Twin Cities and Bloomington Athletic Association.

Ann received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Northwestern College in Iowa.
