SUPPORTING CAREER PATHWAYS AND INCREASING REPRESENTATION IN COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE SINCE 2018
Since the launch of the Minnesota program in 2018, United Properties has been a steadfast partner of the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI) — an effort designed to open doors and expand access to the commercial real estate industry.
REDI offers a hands-on, cohort-based experience that gives professionals from historically underrepresented backgrounds the opportunity to deepen their understanding of real estate development. Over the course of 12 sessions, participants engage in a comprehensive curriculum that includes case studies, development planning, pro forma creation, and marketing strategies. The program culminates in team presentations of complete development proposals.
United Properties has supported REDI in both Minnesota and Colorado through financial contributions, volunteer leadership, and program engagement. Our team members have led learning sessions, mentored participants, and served as judges during final presentations — all in support of cultivating a more inclusive and representative industry.
