Current Responsibilities

Andrea is responsible for managing daily operations and overseeing compliance audits, the budget process and due diligence with our third-party operators for United Properties’ Senior Living communities. In addition, she also manages the coordination of marketing efforts across senior living brands, market research and analysis.

Past Experience

Andrea has over 15 years of experience in Senior Living. Prior to joining United Properties in 2021, she served as a Regional Director of Operations with a focus in New Developments for Ebenezer Management Services. She has held leadership roles for several senior living communities owned and managed by Ecumen and Cassia.

Education

She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business – Healthcare Management from Concordia College – Moorhead and Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.  Andrea is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator and a Licensed Assisted Living Director in Minnesota.

Current Responsibilities

Julie is responsible for overseeing asset management services for both existing and developing retail assets. She is highly knowledgeable in due diligence and provides a valuable contribution to our acquisition and disposition processes. Additionally, Julie is responsible for supervising the property management and leasing teams.

Past Experience

In 1998, Julie began her tenure with United Properties as a senior property accountant, where her duties included overseeing a multitude of externally managed assets. In 2004, she joined the Investment Analyst team to provide financial analysis, historic tax credit underwriting, research, and administrative and tactical project support. Additionally, she has been a fundamental element of the property disposition sales team spanning the last 18 years. Prior to her role with United Properties, Julie served as an accounting manager for Totally Organized.

Professional and Community Involvement

Julie is an active member of MSCA and ICSC, where she serves on the legislative committee. She has also been involved with MNCREW, acting as a race co-director and other committee roles. Furthermore, Julie has volunteered for a variety of organizations, such as the Boys & Girls Clubs, Gilda’s Club, the American Red Cross, and Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program. Additionally, she was secretary for the Home & School Association for a number of years. Julie’s commitment to her faith community, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savage, MN, has been so great that she was chosen as one of the two delegates from her parish to participate in the 2022 Archdiocesan Synod for St. Paul/Minneapolis.

Education

Julie attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and the Academy of Accountancy. She has completed Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) classes and is currently pursuing a Certified Retail Real Estate Professional (CRRP) designation through the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).

Current Responsibilities

As Development Director, Naomi is responsible for leading and executing multiple development projects including securing new opportunities, land acquisitions, underwriting, entitlements, land planning, architectural and design decisions, financing, marketing strategy, lease-up and all other aspects of development.

Past Experience

Prior to joining United Properties, Naomi served as a Real Estate Manager at Christopher & Banks for over 15 years where she specialized on establishing comprehensive scope and direction for real estate portfolio including the strategy, expansion and lease renewal process to meet strategic objectives and long-term goals.

Education

Naomi holds both a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bemidji University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Hamilton University.

Current Responsibilities

As Vice President of Senior Living Development, Dave is responsible for all facets of the senior living development cycle, including site acquisition, project underwriting, design, supporting capital and debt placement, development, and construction execution.

Past Experience

Dave has been a part of United Properties since 2015, when he joined as Development Manager. During his tenure, he has successfully overseen several senior housing development projects, and was subsequently promoted to his current role. Dave’s expertise in both horizontal development and vertical construction has been a major factor in the success of the team. Before joining United Properties, Dave spent over a decade in the general contracting business, managing vertical construction projects in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Florida.

Dave is an active member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). With a passion for creating lasting communities that our customers can call home, Dave is enthusiastic about the future of senior living and values the relationships that are formed throughout the journey.

Education

Dave earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota.

Current Responsibilities

As Vice President of Brand & Communications, Molly is responsible for overseeing the development, supervision and maintenance of the company’s brands. She works closely with other members of the organization to ensure the vision, brand strategies and execution of corporate, commercial development and senior living brands are implemented effectively.

Past Experience

Molly joined United Properties in 2019, bringing more than two decades of experience in real estate, management, and sales & marketing. Before joining United Properties, Molly worked as a sales manager and real estate broker for Home Services of America-Edina Realty, leading and mentoring over 80+ realtors in the Minneapolis market.

Professional and Community Involvement

Molly holds an At Home with Diversity (AHWD) designation from the Minnesota Association of Realtors and has completed multiple Ninja Leadership mastery courses. In addition to being a Licensed Real Estate Broker in Minnesota, she is also a dedicated volunteer, devoting her time to the Golden Valley Humane Society and her daughter’s magnet arts school, where she assists students in art-based courses.

Education

Molly earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and Marketing from St. Cloud State University.

Current Responsibilities

As Vice President of Industrial Development at United Properties, Connor is responsible for the company’s industrial development and acquisition activities in the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota market. In his role, he leads the project teams through land acquisition, due diligence, municipal entitlement, design, construction, stabilization, and disposition.

Past Experience

Connor joined United Properties in 2015. For his first two years at the company, Connor worked as an Investment Analyst in which he performed underwriting and financial modeling for office, industrial, retail, and hotel development projects. He began leading industrial development projects in 2018. Since that time, Connor has developed approximately 2,500,000 square feet of industrial space throughout the Twin Cities.

Professional and Community Involvement

Connor spent time as a board member of the NAIOP Minnesota Chapter and served as the Chair of the NAIOP Developing Leaders in 2020. In recent years, he has served as a volunteer instructor for Urban Land Institute (ULI) facilitating several real estate development and financial analysis courses. In 2021, Connor was the recipient of the Minnesota Real Estate Journal’s Emerging Leader of the Year award.

Education

Connor earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Real Estate at the University of St. Thomas.

Current Responsibilities

Tom is responsible for executing existing projects and sourcing new development opportunities. He directly manages the development process from investment feasibility, land planning and entitlement, architectural design, financing, and lease-up through overseeing construction with key project stakeholders. As Senior Development Manager, Tom collaborates with consultants, contractors, and partners on every project to result in optimal outcomes for end-users and investors while concurrently making decisions to ensure risks are mitigated.

Past Experience

Tom joined United Properties in 2017, with an initial focus on supporting industrial and office development teams. Since then, he has led several complex, multi-phased mixed-use projects, including the 50-acre, $350 million redevelopment of the Upper Harbor Terminal in Minneapolis. Prior to joining United Properties, Tom served as a tenant representative advisor at Cresa Minneapolis, leading small to large-scale projects from site selection through project occupancy. Additionally, he spent time as a land developer at Homestead Partners. He began his career as an architect at BWBR working on large healthcare and correctional facilities.

Tom is an active member of NAIOP and Urban Land Institute (ULI). He serves as Co-Chair for the ULI NEXT cohort and member of the ULI MN Management Committee.

Education

Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of St. Thomas.

Current Responsibilities

As a Sr. Development Manager, Carrie is responsible for facilitating development projects from due diligence in acquisition to project completion and closeout with an emphasis on managing the design, budgeting, and construction process. She also supports the appropriate developers’ new business production of ground-up development and value-added acquisition activities.

Past Experience

Carrie joined United Properties in 2017 after working as a Business/Solutions Development Manager at CBRE where she drove client relationships and business development opportunities within JCI manufacturing plants across the America’s portfolio. With over 18 years of experience in the real estate industry, she worked as a Senior Managing Director and Account Manager for Savills Studley Occupier Services where she primarily handled real estate consulting and account management services. She also worked as a Real Estate Manager at Opus South Corporation and as a Global Workplace Solutions Account Manager and Development Director at Johnson Controls where she managed real estate, project and facility management services for select corporate accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction and high-quality standards.

Professional and Community Involvement

Carrie is a member of NAIOP, and served as the Immediate Past President of MNCREW (Minnesota Commercial Real Estate Women). She currently serves on the Board for Sand Lake Watershed Management District.

Education

Carrie received a B.S. in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and an M.B.A. in Finance at Montclair State University. She is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker for the state of Minnesota.

Current Responsibilities

As vice president of asset management, Chris is responsible for setting and executing the strategic work plan for a portfolio of properties. He is responsible for the asset management for more than 20 properties. Chris also participates on the acquisition, disposition and financing teams.

Past Experience

Chris has worked within The Pohlad Companies since 2003. He began his career as a loan officer with Builders Mortgage Company, which later became Meridian Construction Capital Group. In 2011, Chris worked as a property manager with Meridian Land Company. In 2015, he joined United Properties as a senior investment analyst before being promoted to his current role.

Education

Chris received his Bachelor of Arts degree in financial economics from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Current Responsibilities

Sarah Veith is the Executive Vice President of People, Brand, & Culture for United Properties. She spearheads strategic initiatives aimed at attracting, developing, and engaging top talent in alignment with United Properties’ core values. As an integral part of the Executive Leadership Council and Strategic Leadership Team, she leads the company’s efforts in leadership and organizational development, enhancing the employee experience, talent acquisition, fostering diversity and inclusion, driving marketing and branding initiatives, and overseeing internal operations and administration. 

Past Experience

Sarah joined United Properties in 2016 and has more than 20 years of progressive human resources experience. Prior to joining United Properties, Sarah served as a human resources consultant with Salo, LLC at the University of Minnesota Foundation. She also spent more than nine years with Essilor Laboratories of America, where she served as a senior human resource business partner/director supporting over 35 locations and 1500 employees.

Sarah is a member of the HR Executive Forum and Twin Cities Society for Human Resources Management.  

Sarah is part of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal 2021 Class of 40 Under 40 and was recognized in 2022 as a Notable Woman in Commercial Real Estate with Twin Cities Business.

Education

Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a concentration in Human Resource Management from St. Cloud State University.  Sarah is SPHR and SHRM-SCP certified.  She also holds a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from Cornell University.
