Current Responsibilities
Art Belz has 35 years of real estate development and construction experience who successfully manages all phases of the construction process including site investigation, infrastructure, building shell, and interior improvement construction for projects up to $150 million dollars. He is uniquely qualified to achieve project goals while sustaining strong relationships with governmental authorities, architects, engineers, contractors and national tenants. As Vice President Construction Management in the Denver office of United Properties, Art oversees the construction process for sitework, building core & shell, and tenant improvement construction activities and supporting all phases of the development process including pre-development, due diligence, entitlement, design, and internal approvals and coordination. Art works in collaboration with our market leaders, developers, analysts, legal department, and insurance manager to ensure high quality, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.
Past Experience
Prior to joining United Properties, Art held management positions with Black Creek Group, a national REIT, and with regional developers Confluent Development, EDENS, DLC Management and Miller Weingarten Realty. Art has completed more than 3.5 million square feet of development projects winning awards for Best Real Estate Deals, Best Scenic Walk, Best Environmental Project, and Best Project Management.
Art has partnered with national and regional tenants including Sprouts Farmers Market, King Soopers, City Market, Regal Cinema, Target, Costco, Kohl’s, HomeGoods, Lowes, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Petco, PetSmart, Office Depot, Pier 1 Imports, Ross Dress For Less, Michaels, Barnes & Noble, David’s Bridal, Party City, Famous Footwear, Sketchers, Ulta Beauty, GNC, Chipotle Mexican Grill and Starbuck’s Coffee among others.

Art has a B.S.B.A. degree in Real Estate & Construction Management from the University of Denver.
