Current Responsibilities
As Brand & Communications Manager, Maria is responsible for crafting the company‘s overall strategic brand identity and execution, delivering internal and external communications, developing effective social media initiatives, creating strategic media relations plans, and leading creative direction. She also serves as the company‘s spokesperson. Through her extensive background and experience, Maria brings a diverse range of skills to all of her projects.

In 2020, Maria joined United Properties, bringing her extensive industry experience in creative storytelling, marketing, strategic communications and brand development. During her time at Volunteers of America National Services, she effectively managed and produced communications strategies, deliverables and print & digital assets, overseeing teams across multiple states.

Professional Recognition and Community Involvement
Maria was recognized for her innovative leadership with Finance and Commerce’s Rising Young Professional Award. Her dedication to serving her community is shown through her volunteer and mentorship roles with Maxfield Elementary, Urban Ventures, Meals on Wheels, Samaritan’s Purse, Feed My Starving Children and her church. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she initiated the “Cheer Mail” campaign at VOA, which provided letters to seniors in living facilities and care centers nationwide to help fight isolation and lift spirits. Maria is an active member of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, and PRSA.

Maria earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and mass communications from Bethel University.
