Current Responsibilities
Tom is responsible for executing existing projects and sourcing new development opportunities. He directly manages the development process from investment feasibility, land planning and entitlement, architectural design, financing, and lease-up through overseeing construction with key project stakeholders. As Senior Development Manager, Tom collaborates with consultants, contractors, and partners on every project to result in optimal outcomes for end-users and investors while concurrently making decisions to ensure risks are mitigated.

Past Experience
Tom joined United Properties in 2017, with an initial focus on supporting industrial and office development teams. Since then, he has led several complex, multi-phased mixed-use projects, including the 50-acre, $350 million redevelopment of the Upper Harbor Terminal in Minneapolis. Prior to joining United Properties, Tom served as a tenant representative advisor at Cresa Minneapolis, leading small to large-scale projects from site selection through project occupancy. Additionally, he spent time as a land developer at Homestead Partners. He began his career as an architect at BWBR working on large healthcare and correctional facilities.

Professional and Community Involvement
Tom is an active member of NAIOP and Urban Land Institute (ULI). He serves as Co-Chair for the ULI NEXT cohort and member of the ULI MN Management Committee.

Education
Tom earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of St. Thomas.
